A Fitter makes parts to fit into other machines. They also use many types of different engineering hand tool and work with various types of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals viz-Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Baras, Copper, Aluminum etc and also operate welding machine like Lathe, Drilling M/c, Grinding M/c and other CNC machines during course of operation.
After successful completion of course, a trainee initially one can be placed in the Govt, Private sector workshop which open the scope of promotion up to higher level, depending upon the experience and degree of skill.
This course makes the person capable to run a maintenance and repairing workshop and to become an entrepreneur in the small scale industries sector..

Working on Bench Vice & Work Bench, Using Marking Tools & Equipments, Various Type of Filling, Swing, Chipping, Drilling, Cutting, Tools-Brending of GI Sheets Holding Job in Three Jaw and Four Jaw Chuck on Lathe Correctly, Lathe Practice of Facing, Plain Turning, Step Turning, V-Grooving, Knurling, Boring, Taper Turning, Thread Cutting (By Die & Tools), Practice of Male Female Fitting, Angular Slide Fitting, Practice of Taps & Dies for Threading.

Precision Drilling, Gas & Electric Welding, Threading with Die, Bending of pipe (Cold and Hot), Practice Dismantling and Assembling Gloves Valves, Seat Valve and Non-Return Valves.
